Description
The Southern Virginia 78rpm collection, part 1
-Country, Western Swing, Bluegrass-
Deep in the backwoods I found several hundred 78’s amassed in the 50’s and 60’s by one man. It’s very eclectic, and for the next few weeks I will be offering lots by genre; Jazz, R&B, Hot Dance, 20’s Popular, VERY early records and more. We start with country. Bookmark us now for the next lot, Jazz, Hot Dance and Torch Singers, coming probably next week
78RPM ORIGINAL
THE HILLBILLIES

VOCALION 5183
CONDITION:
Surfaces; STRONG V+
Labels; CLEAN; NO DAMAGE TO GRAPHICS
Please ask any questions before bidding – we’ll answer promptly.
Grading codes;
(essentially, the standard traditional VJM code)
N = new or mint
E = low surface noise
V = high surface noise but listenable
G = very high surface noise; difficult to listen properly
The addition of a plus (+) or minus (-) adds a degree of classification. We are conservative graders, and in our book there’s no such thing as “N”. The best we will ever use is “N-“ even if we believe a record to be unplayed..
