Description

Relisted for galois2718  only 1965 4 track Keele Rag Record - featuring 2 tracks by The Hipster Image.

Hard to find 4 track charity flexidisc, each track is introduced by Jimmy Savile. The Hipster Image hailed from Stafford -  as far as I know, they only recorded one mega rare single for Decca, and these two tracks for this charity release - their records have been included in several compilations over the years

The Hipster Image tracks are the reason this is a sought after item - A LITTLE PIECE OF LEATHER is a mod dancer with vocal and Hammond; ALL FOR YOU is a mod dancer instrumental with strong Hammond and sax - Where Am I? by the London Apprentices is a David and Jonathan/Peter and Gordon soundalike mild protest song; The Universal Layabout by Tom & Brennie is a song with several political/union references of the time. Very clean condition, record shows some bloom and would benefit from a light clean, a couple of small marks visible but has obviously had only a handful of plays, sleeve is very clean, no tears, slight creasing and a little spotting. I have played this in its entirety and there are no issues, it sounds great. I will grade at near EX for the record and VG++ for the sleeve
