When the sixties awakened from the rock and roll era and showing the character and defining culture of the decade, The Beatles and Beach Boys set high bar in music.
There were others making fantastic sounds and moves - The Bee Gees, Steve Miller Band, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane and yes, The HOLLIES made their own
giant steps!
'EVOLUTION is a wonderful album which exemplified the culture - rhythmically involving and inventive, romantic, lovely vocals, psychedelic effects that worked with the music
This was the first of their two outstanding psych lps recorded in 1967, and considering how good they are, it's truly astonishing that they weren't bigger 'hits' - especially when hearing them now.
They both sound brilliant, with the test of time too.
Highly recommended for fans of 60s psych!
CONDITION:
The VINYL surface is in clean condition with sleeve marks. No scratches into the grooves so VG++ overall, and plays nicely throughout.
The classic yellow PARLOPHONE Lables are clean and bright, with silver text. EXCELLENT.
The single card cover is VG+, light general wear, no splits
