THE HOLLIES
FOR CERTAIN BECAUSE ...
1966 Rarer stereo 1st Pressing
First issue matrices YEX 617-1G/ YEX 618-1G
Sleeve:
The first issue gatefold sleeve is in Very Good condition, completely intact at all seams and very clean although inside there is some rubbing on the white background on the right-hand side from the black left-hand side. The sleeve is holding up extremely well with a little edge wear in one place and a little scuffing to the corners. The spine is completely intact with clear title text.
Inner Sleeve: Original EMI Patents Applied For inner sleeve completely intact.
The Vinyl: In Very Good to Very Good Plus Condition. The surfaces are smooth and groove wear free, still projecting a bright pressing shine on both sides, it has light hairline marks superficial to the surfaces, very light and very fine, most look more look inner sleeve removal marks if anything. No scuffs, or warps, or anything obtrusive to the audio, certainly nothing to be called a scratch. The item has received play use but has not been handled too badly and is still a good example.
Lays completely flat on the turntable.
The Labels: Excellent condition. Hardly any wear to the spindle perimeter, and just one two very tiny spindle marks.
The Audio: The audio is pretty much faultless with just the occasional tick audible but only really noticeable in some of the run-in’s and fade-out’s. No crackle, pops, skips, jumps or sticks or anything that detracts. At least Excellent if not better.
Very early mother & stamper codes:
Side 1: 1 R Side 2: 1 R
