Two track 12" in picture sleeve with (added) innersleeve. Plays (very loud) at 45 rpm. In overall Excellent Condition. Purchased new at time by seller, probably been played 5 or 6 times since purchase.

The Impossible Dreamers were a 1980s new-wave band that had a major underground club hit with their 12” single “Spin” - the instrumental B-side of their second release, before signing for RCA Records. Like many UK post-punk bands of this fertile era, they amassed influences from jazz, funk, world music. The band members have gone on to work with Robert Plant, The Pretenders and The Lilac Time – and guitarist Justin Adams went on to a stellar career in production (Lo’Jo & Tinariwen) and global-fusion bands (joining Jah Wobble’s Invaders of The Heart, Juldeh Camara etc.). The band began as friends at Exeter University in early 1980s. By the time of their first RCA single, This House Built On Sand, the band were: Nick Waterhouse (guitar, vocals)/Caroline Radcliffe (vocals, oboe)/Justin Adams (guitar) /Fred Hood (drums). The band toured extensively (originally supporting bands like Kid Creole & The Coconuts and Bad Manners), and were courted by the NME (January 1983) and many other magazines. Band folded in 1987/8.
