ZIMBABWE Pressed 7" Single with SAMPLE stamp!!!!
Along with my other listed Jam Zimbabwe rarity 'Town Called Malice' which is on Ebay right now, this is possibly one of the RAREST of the many commercially released 7" Singles by The Jam.
It's a 100% OFFICIAL Zimbabwe pressing on Polydor Records!
This pressing is so, so difficult to find in South Africa (there's no chance of finding one now in Zimbabwe itself because of the goings on there) so to find a copy on auction here in the UK is extremely rare!
Other than my other Zimbabwe pressing on Ebay just now, this is the first Zimbabwe pressed 7" Single I have ever seen auctioned on Ebay and I have been a seller & collector for many years now.
ZIMBABWE PRESSINGS BY THE JAM ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. THEY WERE MADE MAINLY FOR THE EUROPEAN POPULATION THEN RE-CYCLED AGAIN DUE TO VINYL SHORTAGES. ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES WERE PRESSED OF THIS DISC AND ONE THING FOR SURE IS THAT THERE IS ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THEM LEFT IN CIRCULATION. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE FIRST ONE TO SURFACE IN MANY, MANY YEARS!
Issued on the Polydor Record Label and housed in a Zimbabwe only 'wallpaper' sleeve (made typically of re-cycled paper)!
The Catalogue Number is PS 8020.
Tracks are:- 'The Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had To Swallow)', 'Pity Poor Alfie' & 'Fever'.
What makes this pressing even rarer is the fact that it has been stamped 'Sample Not For Sale' by Polydor in Zimbabwe!
The Vinyl record itself is graded as being in Very Good condition. The re-cycled sleeve is also in Very Good condition.
Crazy starting price of £25 with no reserve!!!
You may never see this Zimbabwe pressing again, certainly not in this condition so grab it while you can!
