Description

 • Artist: The Jesus Band
 • Album Title: Just for Jesus
 • Format: LP
 • Label: Soul Harvest
 • Country of Release: USA
 • Cover/Record Grade: Ex--/M- (In shrink wrap, which has a few tears)
 • Other Info: This was sealed but I found absolutely no information about it online so I opened it and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard—the Jesus Band is outstanding.  They play original material, rock for the most part, some songs with a male lead vocal and others with a female lead.  The guitar playing here is exceptional: on one slow burner rock/soul track (7:35 in length) there’s a Santana-style guitar lead as well as a nice organ solo.  The Santana style continues on another funk/rock piece.  We also get treated to an instrumental cut with tremendous guitar work throughout.  One curiosity is a track that combines old-school rap and funk with horn rock—but then there’s a short, scorching guitar solo at the end.  I don’t know when this album was released but I would guess it was in the late 1970s or early 1980s.  WHO ARE THESE GUYS!?
