JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE - Axis Bold As Love.
Track Records 612003. 1967. The much rarer MONO version. Matrices A1/B1. UK Pressing.
Super heavy weight just under 180 grams!!
Looks very clean and not worn out with over playing.Visually it has some hairlines that can be seen under a spotlight but what record doesn't that is nearly 50 years old. Sadly it has a scratch on track one, side one which does effect play (please read on). There is visually a surface mark on track one , side two that does not effect playback.
I've given it a good clean and I've play listened to it carefully on my Rega P9 with the unforgiving MC Apheta cartridge. This will pick up all audible defects and i've done my best to list them below.
Side one track one - This clicks throughout this short spoken word track. The rest of side one has no clicks, pops, repeats or skips. It has very faint crackle that can be heard in between the songs which seems to increase slightly towards the end of side one.
Side two - No clicks or pops or repeats or skips. The crackle is slightly more noticeable on this side.
Hard to grade - with the scratch i would call it VG but if you don't include track one then mainly its VG+ to EX-.
Sleeve - Laminated on front and back. Flipback cover. Scuffs on corners and the opening is a little frayed. Generally good EX-
Includes the very rare original gatefold lyric insert. No tears but it does have a crease where its been folded just to the right of the centre. EX condition.
