CHICK WEBB & HIS ORCHESTRA [under the pseudonym The Jungle Band] - Jungle mamma/Dog bottom (Brunswick 4450) --- excellent [EE-] condition (minor visible wear or very minor marks but no serious defects) --- great 1929 Chick Webb (his first issued recordings) under the Jungle Band name which was usually assigned to early recordings by Duke Ellington --- the Chick Webb sides are great hot black jazz featuring Ward Pinkett and Edwin Swayzee (who also recorded with Jelly Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers around this time) plus Hilton Jefferson and a young Louis Jordon on saxes and the great and under-rated Don Kirkpatrick on piano.
