I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A LARGE AMOUNT OF AN OLD WAREHOUSE STOCK OF MANY DIY PUNK / MINIMAL SYNTH / INDUSTRIAL / POST PUNK / MESSTHETICS / H2D / HYPED TO DEATH / HOMEWORK / TEENLINE TYPE ITEMS, ALL ARE IN AN UNPLAYED CONDITION !!!! SO KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS !
This is a VERY RARE IRISH POWER POP / PUNK / MOD single by the band THE KIDZ from 1979, ORIGINAL PRESSING AND A MUST !!!
This single is very rare and appears on many PUNK / POWER POP / MOD collectors wants lists and is one of the best in it's genre, well here is one NEAR MINT COPY !!!
The band was from Cork in Ireland but from what I could find on the net released this DEMO ONLY SINGLE in the UK to get airplay, the single was only pressed in edition of 100 or so copies !!!
The labels are white labels with only hand stickered information about the band, name of the songs etc..., the information about the release date comes from the dead wax etching which are KIDZ - SINGLE A (and B) and P 1099 which means published on the 10th of September 1979.
There is also a harp etched on the dead wax meaning the single was pressed in London at UTOPIA STUDIOS !!!
The single should be comped on one of the POWERPEARLS / KBD type compilation, but only a hand full of collectors know about this mega rarity, and just how good it is !!!
The single was pressed by the band themselves as a DEMO ONLY with no label name.
The songs are: I'LL GET CAUGHT / PROTOTYPE PETE.
The single NEVER came in a p/s and the condition of the VINYL is in EX+++ condition (PLAYED ONCE !!!).
DON'T LET THIS RARE POWER POP / PUNK single get away as you will never see another and especially not in this condition.
