This Auction is for:
TITLE: The King And I
ARTIST(S): Gertrude Lawrence, Yul Brynner & Others.
LABEL/NUMBER: Decca 9-260 – Six 45 RPM records mounted in an EP Box Style Cover.
YEAR: 1951 – Please see my other Auctions for many more Promotional and SEALED Soundtrack, Original Cast and Individual Artist recordings.

DISC CONDITION: All 6 of the discs look VG+ or better. A careful visual inspection revealed a short scratch just at the beginning of “Overture” on Side 1. I test played the area and did hear several light tics at the beginning of the music. Other than that scratch, I see no significant scuffs or scratches. These records look almost new and are 70 years old, as are the original Decca sleeves in which they are mounted.
COVER CONDITION: The EP Box Style Cover is VG+ or better. It is quite solid with no Seam Splits or significant damage to the spine or hinge. Colors are good and all white surfaces are bright and clean except there is a bit of edge wear. The inside front Cover has a stamp from the original Minneapolis dealer, “The Dayton Co.”
