The KINKS - THE GREAT LOST KINKS ALBUM
Rare and sought after Kinks gem with little played vinyl, superb audio quality, and original insert
Year/Label : 1973 REPRISE US Label number : MS 2127 STEREO Matrix numbers : MS - 2127 31538 - 1 A, MS - 2127 31539 - 1 D Stampers : A 5 / A 2Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in normal daylight comes across as completely unmarked - a real gleamer. And even with close inspection under a bright light it is difficult to spot any marks - just three extremely faint "shadow" lines on side 2 and a couple of equally non-obvious and purely superficial, small and extremely light paper scuffs on each side but that's about it. Remarkable! The labels are also excellent plus (EX+) - perfect with the exception of a very small and single very faint spindle trail adjacent to the centre hole on each label. Clearly, this is a record that has been only very sparingly played - probably just a few times. A very good plus (VG+) condition non-laminated outer sleeve with largely unscuffed edges though there are intermittent scuff "nicks" on each edge including the spine where all spine text remains intact and legible. Each corner remains a nicely defined right angle with barely any rubbing and the opening edges are firm with no fraying. The main blemish, albeit not major but noticeble nonetheless, is some mild ring wear on both sides accompanied by the occasional light abrasion and storage/handling mark. Still fully functional and highly presentable - not quite excellent but not far off either! Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, or distortion and any background crackle is at an absolute minimum - just the merest hint of some very light background crackle during a couple of the intermissions, but certainly nothing to intrude upon the overall wonderful sound quality. Every track stands the test of time and remains a great listen. The all important original John Mendesohn insert is included and remains in excellent condition - just some very minor creasing towards one edge...nothing really. Comes with original "WARNER/REPRISE LOSS LEADERS" inner sleeve which although is in overall very good condition does have small splits in the middle of each edge. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A must for any Kinks afficianado!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
