Up for auction is a still sealed copy of The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society from 1968 (NSPL 18233). This is a stereo recording. The disc was manufactured and distributed in Canada on Phonodisc Limited. From what I've researched, PYE ran its label operations in Canada through the Phonodisc. This LP was released prior to the US release (Jan. 1969). I believe that this LP has a blue Pye label, but, as it is still sealed, I cannot check. Although still sealed, the cover does have some perfections. The upper right corner has buckled from the cellophane and has several small creases ranging from 1 to 2 inches. The cellophane has peeled back on the top seam by about 1 inch but is otherwise fully intact. Finally, despite being sealed, the record cover shows some slight ring wear. I can't tell how much is on the cellophane only, but I am certain a small amount of ringwear (maybe spanning two inches on the top and bottom of the cover) is present.
