GRADE: RECORD RECORD COVER AND INSERTS GRADE 1 The record is glossy and shows virtually no signs of being played. The cover/sleeve/inserts are in near mint condition GRADE 2 The record shows signs of being played occasionally, it has a few very light marks, is still glossy and retains an excellent sound quality.  The cover/sleeve/inserts are in very good condition, the spine is intact. May have light signs of edge/spine/corner wear, creasing or ring wear. GRADE 3 The record has been played a typical amount, it has some light marks, It retains a very sound quality.  The cover/sleeve/inserts are in reasonable condition,  They have minor signs of edge/spine/corner wear, creasing or ring wear. GRADE 4 The record has been played a typical amount, but has numerous minor marks, but no serious scratches. It retains a good sound quality.  
The cover/sleeve/inserts have noticeable signs of edge/spine/corner wear, creasing or ring wear. GRADE 5 The record has been played many times.  It plays through easily despite some significant marks and/or minor scratches. There may be some tracks where you hear some crackling. There may be very minor warping. The cover/sleeve/inserts have significant signs of edge/spine/corner wear, creasing or ring wear. GRADE 6 The record has been played frequently.  It plays through easily despite numerous significant marks and one or two  scratches. There may be some tracks where you hear crackling or even light clicking. There may be light warping. The cover/sleeve/inserts have major signs of edge or corner wear, creasing or ring wear and scuffing to the edges and spine. There may be minor tears. GRADE 7 The record is playable but will have serious scratches, sound quality has deteriorated and clicks and crackling can be heard on some tracks when playing. There may be significant warping. The cover/sleeve/inserts have serious signs of edge/spine/corner wear/creasing/ring wear/scuffing/tears GRADE 8 The record is just about playable but has at least one major scratch, clicks can be heard when playing, it may even jump. There may be significant warping. The cover/sleeve/inserts have very serious signs of edge or corner wear/creasing/ring wear/scuffing/tears.
