Description

This is Smash Records MGS 27088. This is the February 1967 release by the band The Left Banke "Walk Away Renee/Pretty Ballerina" in Mono. I am pretty sure this is a first pressing with on side 1 in the run off 27088 A1 and on side 2 is 27088 B1. The album had two hit singles in 1966 that are on this album "Walk Away Renee" at #5 and "Pretty Ballerina" reached #15. The album is of real impotance because it is a early example of baroque pop music. The album also has the single "What Do You Know" which is an early example of country rock similar to efforts by The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and International Submarine Band. This album was reissued in June, 2011. The album credits are Steve Martin Caro lead vocals, Michael Brown piano/harpsichord/clavinet/lead vocals on What Do You Know, Tom Finn bass/backing vocals, George Cameron drums/percussion/backing vocals, Warren David-Schierhorst drums,Jeff Winfield electric guitar and Rick Brand electric guitar. Additional personnel Hugh McCracken guitar, Al Gorgoni guitar, George "Fluffer" hirsh guitar, John Abbott bass/guitar, Joe Mack bass, Al Rogers drums and others.

The vinyl is Near Mint. The cover has some minor ring wear on front. The spine has no flaking or splits. The top seam has a split about 2 inches long that starts at the cover opening. There is a hole drilled in upper left corner. The sleeve has only a bent corner. I will ship Media Mail as soon as PayPal tells me they have payment.Shipping for a second or third album is .70 each.
