Alright, so if you’ve ended up here you most likely have a good idea of what you are looking at. The label that put these out had a lot of QC issues with later pressings that were not as bad with this press. With this purchase you’ll know exactly what you are getting, unlike the red and gold copies, which we all know are likely to be garbage fodder.
The good: the record is NM sounds good and clean. Very little pops / distortion that other pressings are known for. Sound quality reflects actual gameplay and the record plays well. The jacket isn’t in rough shape and looks good overall.
The bad: the record is off center like all other copies of this record. This means you can expect to watch your tonearm balance unevenly as the needle traverses the grooves of the LP. This does not effect playback EXCEPT for the very end of the last tracks on sides A/B. They sound warbly - best word I can use to describe it. Like an old cassette tape that doesn’t play well. Honestly it sounds kind of neat and ‘vintage’, but no, it does not reflect the actual music of the game. Everything else, good.
The jacket has a seam split from shipping knocking it down to a VG+
