Description

THE LIBERATION OF PARIS, described as the first radiomontage of recorded historic events, issued in 1945 by Asch Records (Set 50). English narration by Orson Welles and Emlen Etting, speeches and audio coverage in French and English. Includes liner notes, 2 Asch catalogs, and a rarity, a press release dated August 28, 1945 and describing this and other spoken and historical albums planned for issue. Evidently this set was also to be broadcast (hopefully from quieter discs than this) by BMI radio stations, per the press release. Discs in E condition with very slight dishing, album has small scuffs and marks. Contact me for overseas shipping costs.
