Description
This is my copy of The Lonesome Crowded West, purchased by me in 1997 or 1998. I would describe this record as being in very good to excellent condition (I'm not a dealer).

Someone asked me about the further details of the condition of this record, and they were happy with the comments I provided. I thought I would include my response here in case it is helpful:
Hi! I would say the covers are in very good condition (there are actually separate covers for each of the two records). There are virtually no marks or scuffs on the images. The back of cover 1 has some small dark marks that may be scuffs or may be part of the image--I can't really tell. There are no splits in the covers. The top right hand corner of each cover has a slight small bend--not sure where that came from but the corners are flat, they just show some slight crease where you can tell it was bent slightly at some point. The paper inserts inside the covers that hold the records and have the lyrics are in very good condition. I see only one small scuff or mark at the top of one of the sleeves. The seams of both sleeves are torn a bit from the center out where the record rests after you slide them into the sleeves--hard to explain. You can't see that, but you may notice it when you put the records in the sleeves. It's possible with future use the seam may split a bit more--it's thin paper. I see some faint marks on sides B and D of the record itself, although I'm not sure I would describe them as scratches--just marks that you can see a bit. I listened to it for the first time in a looooong time last night and did not have any skips and did not hear any significant pops--definitely no rhythmic pops (I love this album but listen to it on CD these days...). I bought the record in the late 90's soon after the album was released. I did play it quite a bit then, but it's basically been sitting in my collection since that time. I did not do anything particularly special with storing it (didn't really consider it a collector's item), but it's been kept in a cool dry place stored upright--it's been in my finished basement for the last 7 years. I'm not a dealer and this is the first time I've really tried to sell any of my records so I'm trying to be as descriptive and honest as possible. I really do think it is in good condition.
