ROCK STEADY / BE MY BABY ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by THE MARVELS produced by Lloyd Charmers. Original UK pressing on the PAMA SUPREME label (PS 338), from 1971. Killer psychedelic reggae / alternative female soul version of the classic Aretha Franklin anthem with funky B-boy drum break intro and another midway. Aggressive riddim and vocals with hard rim-shots and infectious guitars too. Great for DJs. BE MY BABY is an alternative version of the Phil Spector R&B tune. Original 4-prong centre intact. Rare 45!!! 

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some hairlines. Light surface noises. A couple of pops to fading outro of 'Rock Steady' side / one pop midway 'Be My Baby' side. Record housed in plain white card sleeve. Rare 45!!!
