Mega Rare Original Swedish / Scandinavian Decca Stereo 1st Press!

This listing is for an original Swedish Decca 1st pressing of the incredible followup LP by the Mascots, titled 'Ellpee'.

The Mascots were a Swedish pop group that were heavily inspired by the British Pop and Beatles / Merseybeat sound. They only ever released two albums - Your Mascots and Ellpee. They were offered a record deal in England in 1966 which could have made them huge, but part of the deal was to change their names to 'The Swedish Design', which they refused.

The Decca labels are red with gold Decca logo and silver print, and feature the 'Hamburg' rimtext. However, the NCB on the label is a Scandinavian prefix.

Today the Mascot's two albums are extremely rare and are highly collectible. It is extremely difficult to find an original, Scandinavian Decca press of this LP!

The cover is holding up fine but with some light, usual wear and tear. The front is nice and colourful and has a little laminate rubbing along with some disc impression and some creasing around the edges. It looks like there's some kind of light residue on the top - maybe from a large sticker or something. Top and bottom seams are both holding fine with no splits or tears. The spine is holding fine with just a few little creases running through it - there are no splits or tears. The back cover has some laminate rubbing and light disc impression. Overall looks clean bar a slight brown discoluration on the left of the T of COTS. Overall, though, holding up nicely. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition
 (VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG+ condition. The disc has a really nice, sharp shine to it and looks very clean. There's just some light scuffmarks here and there along with a few slightly heavier looking scuffs. But absolutely nothing deep or nasty looking. Label Condition The labels are in EX+ condition. The labels are very clean with bright text. There's just some light spindlewear - a little moreso on the side 2 label. Very nice labels!
