Description
ARTIST : THE MISUNDERSTOOD
TITLE : I CAN TAKE YOU TO THE SUN / WHO DO YOU LOVE
Cat No : TF 777
Label : Fontana
Issue : UK 1966 MONO (ORIGINAL 1966 PRESSING, NOT A RE-RELEASE OR RE-ISSUE OF ANY KIND)
Matrix/Stamper codes: 267661 1F 1 420 and 267661 2F 1 420
Condition : Disc - Fair to Good
Please note: Mega rare original psych rarity 45rpm. Sold very few copies upon release in 1966 and is now exceedingly hard to find. Two outstanding classic psych tracks. Hear it on the links below.
A Fair to Good condition 45. Original 3-prong centre missing. Vinyl looks visually only Fair condition. Lots of surface scuffs and mild scratches. I have supplied several photos which show the surface condition of both sides in some detail, so please look at them all. Original MONO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, or writing on labels. I played both sides to check sound quality, which is quite good, but with some pops and clicks throughout, and some minor general surface noise - not too intrusive though. It plays better than you might think, judging by the appearance of the record. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Original pressings differ from re-issues in many ways, and this original pressing has the identifiable typeface matrix numbers pressed in the run-out grooves, the textured (not glossy) labels, and indentations where the original three-prong centre was removed, which show it to be an original pressing.
Hear both sides on Youtube (please note this is NOT my record)

GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
