This is a RARE original 1966 45 RPM single record by New Jersey garage rock legends THE MODS. The songs are "Smile - You're On Candid Camera" and "Ritual". The Mods were one of the most popular bands on the Jersey Shore in the mid 1960s, playing all over the state. They even had their own fan magazine published by their manager Al Mott, who released this 45 on his own "Mod Records" label! They actually played the "Candid Camera" song ON TELEVISION on the popular hidden-camera show starring Alan Funt. They played the N.J. teen club circuit along with "The Castiles" -- who were led by future superstar BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. An important piece of New Jersey music history. This single was pressed 53 years ago. In very fine condition with 2 visible flaws on the "Ritual" side, with the original paper sleeve. Will be CAREFULLY packaged & shipped by Priority Mail.
