Description

 Wow, just a far out, rare release by The New Potato Caboose from Virgina. This is beyond rare!!! This was put togthere by the band and mailed to former Philly WMMR 93.3 radio DJ Lyn Kratz on October 7, 1987. Not very many of these were created and even less exist today, particularly including the loaded band bio folder! This was a four track vinyl record demo created exclusively for radio station and record labels. It was self-produced by the band in 1987. It was not for sale nor available to the general public. It is extremely obscure. It also includes several different hand typed letters to various DC and Philly radio stations. Signed by one of  the band members on a few of them.Let me type out a detail of what the folder includes:

  • Black folder, with band name typed on a white sticker
  • Band buisness card
  • 8 x 10 inch black and white 1987 band promotional photograph
  • Two page, typed letter of recommendation by former WBMW DC radio station DJ Sandy Edwards 
  • Single page letter of recommendation by Michael Jaworek of the Warner Theater and Chesapeake Concerts, Inc.
  • Sample song list sheet
  • Single page letter of recommendation by D. Cerphe Colwell of DC101
  • Single page congratulations letter from WCXR promotional director, Ginger Warder
  • Xeroxed single sheet of a music article on New Potato Caboose from the Virgin Pilot newspaper
  • Two paged xeroxed MD Musician article from 1986 on the New Potato Caboose
  • Five page band bio by the band
  • Three miscellaneous xeroxed music reviews by various VA/MD news papers on the group
  • Original hand typed by band member Chris Lee to former 93.3 WMMR FM radio DK Lyn Kratz in Philadelphia. Hand signed by Lee.
The vinyl has a few light scratches on both sides. It is extremely clean ,retain its original glossy shine. Side one of the label has a surname written on it. The cover is in very good plus condition, slight storage wear was observed. The folder and paper material, including band promo picture range between near mint minus to near mint condition. all are very well preserved.
