Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "The New South" - by J.D.Crowe and the New South on the Rounder Records label (RR 0044), in beautiful original sound, released originally in 1975. CONDITION: JACKET -VG+(Jacket has moderate overall age/edge/corner/ring wear - please see actual album in photo); VINYL - Near Mint(Rounder's lovely glowing vinyl has only a couple of very light paper scuffs - Visually Graded under custom spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: This fine and legendary bluegrass album (probably and all-time top tenner) is here presented in the very rare dark cover version; although the jacket has some wear, that fact is not reflected in the viny, still pure and lovely; back cover is filled with great liner notes by John Hartford, plus great biographical information. This package, extremely rare in this condition, is an absolute treasure. TRACKS: Old Home Place, Some Old Day, Rock Salt & Nails, Sally Goodin, Ten Degrees, nashville Blues, You Are What I Am, Summer Wages, I'm Walkin', Home sweet Home Revisited, and Crying' Holy. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
