Description
THE NUMBERS aka The Riptides
Sunset Strip EP (Sunset Strip/Magic Castle/Rules of Love) Mega rare first pressing of 500 of this classic Brisbane punk single. The second pressing of 2000 was in a different sleeve and sported the new band name, The Riptides. The band were influenced by the Saints and 60s beat, so you get a cool mix of the two styles. Band leader Mark Callaghan later went on to form Ganggajang.
Released in 1978 on the legendary Able label, outta Brisbane. I can't provide a photo today due to camera malfunction, but will in the next few days. You'd be hard pressed to find anything better unless a box of unplayed ones ever pops up!
