Description

THE ORANGUTANGS -- Dancing Up A Hurricane / Ooooo Wee! -- ex. rare, original 1981 U.S. 45 single.  Very groovy and completely unknown Private Press 45 from this ultra-obscure early Eighties L.A.-area band (note:  they're unrelated to the later indie band called just "Orangutang.")  Both sides are ultra-primitive Punk - Power Pop - Rockabilly stompers with yowling vocals and rocket-fueled beat -- a bit of the Ramones here, a bit of the Clash and The Blasters there.  The label name "Crazy Records" pretty much tells you where these cats were coming from.  Absolutely no information on this one anywhere, and I've never seen another copy.  Contact me via Ebay if you'd like to hear a sound clip.  In generic sleeve.  Record:  VG++/VG+++, one very light surface mark on B-side, overall excellent, on Crazy private label, U.S. press.
