(VINYL+MP3) Nach 15 Jahren sind die schottischen Indie-Pop Pioniere The Pastels jetzt mit einem neuen Album auf Domino zurück! Seit dem Release der LP "Illumination" im Jahre 1997 wurde es ziemlich still um The Pastels. Umso mehr freuen wir uns über "Slow Summits", das brillante neue Album der Band, das Ende Mai auf Domino erscheint. In der Zwischenzeit ging die Band anderen Projekten nach, unter anderem entstanden verschiedene Theaterstücke, ein Film-Soundtrack (The Last Great Wilderness, Geographic, 2003), außerdem kam eine Zusammenarbeit mit den japanischen Tenniscoats zustande. Auf "Slow Summits" fließt dieser Erfahrungsschatz in der Musik zusammen - einem soundverliebten, lebendigen Strom von Instrumentals, Pop Songs, Slow-Motion Passagen und plötzlich hereinbrechenden, fröhlich-optimistischen Melodien.
