THE PENTANGLE 'SWEET CHILD' 1968 STEREO X2LP.
The Pentangle were: Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Jacqui McShee, Danny Thompson & Terry Cox.
First press double LP pressed in England and released on Transatlantic TRA 178.
Matrix codes:
Side A: TRA 178 A1.
Side B: TRA 178 B2.
Side C: TRA 178-1 A2 C.
Side D: TRA 178-2 B2 D.
Play grade is EX/EX-/EX/EX .
There are no sticks, skips, or jumps or any evidence of groovewear and all the musical/vocal passages play clearly and brightly.
There is some light surface noise in the run in/out areas. There is a 'tic'/quiet 'click' that repeats 8 times in track 2, side 2.
There is also some quiet & short lived dust crackle in just a couple of places on both sides.
When tilted under normal lighting conditions all four sides appear to be unmarked except for a short (~3cm.) non-sounding thin scuff at about 9 o'clock on side 4.
When tilted under halogen lights there are just a few light marks visible on both sides.
NB: All four sides do have some narrow grey patches (a few cms. long) around the rims, which in a couple of places run into the start of the side. However this has virtually no effect on any of the tracks except for a couple of very quick quiet 'hiss' sounds at the start of the first tracks on 2 of the sides.
Gatefold sleeve grades as EX.
First press sleeve printed and made by Dawson Rossiter. The spine is a little flattened.
Inners grades as VG.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].
I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.
(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment.
