Description

Here we have a real Collectors items from the Legends that are (THE) PINK FLOYD.  Titled ; "THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN" (1967), this is the FIRST PRESSING of their very first LP & is RARE.
This is a COLLECTOR'S ITEM, it being RARE in this particular form. The rarity comes mostly from it being the less common MONO pressing. The Stereo pressing is more common. This VERY FIRST PRESSING has the Matrix of XAX 3419-2 / XAX 3420-1. At this earliest stage of their career, they had a "THE" in front of "PINK FLOYD".  8 of the 11 tracks are entirely SYD BARRETT compositions; 2 are Group efforts & one is by ROGER WATERS.
Condition :-   VINYL :-  Side 1 :- Visually VG- (several surface marks & light scratches); Plays as VG- ( a Great deep, clear Sound, but with lots of crackle & pop on the quieter bits; no jumps).  The label has the early Black label with COLUMBIA & the round Logo in stand out Blue & K T in raised lettering around the centre spindle hole.                    Side 2 :- Visually VG ( some visible surface marks); Plays @ VG+  (some crackle on quieter parts, no jumps; mostly EXC.).
