Description

For auction a real punk rarity, THE PLAGUE "In Love/Wimpey Bar Song" released in 1979 and briefly a favourite of John Peel.
The disc is notable for being pressed in shocking pink vinyl and initially sold in a fold out poster sleeve. Both of these are present here and in fantastic condition (see pics).
The Plague, a London band, were not regarded as a first division punk outfit, despite gigging from 77 onwards, and rarely feature in any compilations or books about that revolutionary period in UK music. This single though is pure punk through and through: "I didn't know what to say/When you turned up on my doorstep the uvva day!"
The vinyl is bright and unmarked and plays with that fulsome energy only authentic records of that period can. The poster is vibrant and bright, free of any rips, writing, tape or pin holes.  This is as good a copy as will ever be offered for sale.
THE PLAGUE: "In Love/Wimpey Bar Song" Evolution Records EV 1 1979.

The start price is low and there is no reserve. Good luck.
