1968/Canada/Allied Records 10…..here's a gorgeous original pressing of this monster rarity from Canada. No hype needed here!  The cover is in clean solid VG++ condition with very light stains at the top front left side and lower right corner(see pics) possibly cuased from the glue holding the front cover slick on, there is a bit of light soiling at the top on the front, otherwise the cover is clean and solid with no splits or delete! The vinyl is in glossy VG++ condition with some inaudible scuffs/scratches and a 1” feelable scratch on the first and into the second track on side one which produces a light tick just very few times. The record looks and plays clean with light low level crackle at cue and between the odd track, really nothing serious at all and this is a real nice playing copy! Clean crisp Analogue fidelity! I have recorded the whole lp being offered here from start to finish with no sound alteration. Clean labels. This is a very nice original pressing and tough to find one that plays this nice! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking

The four-piece Plastic Cloud were led by guitarist and singer Don Brewer, who penned the eight songs on this, their only LP. The Plastic Cloud is essentially two discs in one, bookending the summer of love with alternating mid-sixties folk-rock gems and extended tracks of blistering late-sixties guitar work. The somewhat wooden harmonies on 'Epistle to Paradise' and the bucolic guitar of 'Bridge under the Sky', which open sides 1 and 2 respectively, are fine examples of the former, recalling the pre-psychedelic work of the early (pre-Grace Slick) Airplane or the starry-eyed folk of the Youngbloods. 'You Don't Care', the ten-minute swath of lysergic fuzz guitar that closes out the first side, and which is by far the best of the latter, must surely be what all the fuss is about. Scorching solos, this is definitely worth searching out! Released at the tail end of 1968, and thus wedged in between the Beatles' White Album, Hendrix's Electric Ladyland, and Led Zeppelin, The Plastic Cloud drifted into the bargain bins without much notice.

GRADING

MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.

NM or M- or Mint Minus is the same to me, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches. If I list a rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
