THE POP GROUP: Y 1979 UK VINYL LP + MASSIVE POSTER (RADAR RAD 20) EXCELLENT+!!
Here is a superb vinyl example of the rare and much sought after 'Y' album from The Pop Group.
It is the original 1979 UK pressing on the Radar record label, catalogue number RAD 20.
Internet rock music historian Pierro Scaruffi ranks 'Y' as the 23rd greatest rock album of all time. Reviewing the album he calls it "one of the most intense, touching and vibrant albums in the history of rock music".
I bought this LP myself back in 1979 and I have looked after it well. The package includes a very large fold-out colour poster (135cm x 56cm) featuring a collage of images and all of the lyrics.
Inscriptions in the run-out grooves read 'S-5 RAD 20 A3 - EG' on side one with 'RAD 20 B3 S-1 - EG' on side two.
The vinyl is in terrific condition, looking virtually unplayed. Rating: 'Excellent+'.
The sleeve is in pretty good shape too, with well preserved gloss sheen and negligible surface markings on the front. The back cover has some very light creasing showing at the top. The spine shows some slight scuffing and stress marks. There are also one or two patches of scuffing around the opening edge. Overall rating: 'Very Good+'.
The poster is in superb condition having never been on display and always contained within the LP sleeeve. Rating: 'Excellent+'.
