Description
Available here is a 12” vinyl LP … The Professionals by the Soul City Orchestra (Chris Rae & Frank McDonald). It features light orchestral music with a jazz, funk and soul flavour but designed for film and television. Essentially, it’s a mood music sampler, issued as an industry showcase and for the Music De Wolfe library. Rather rare and collectible, it’s a 1st and only pressing. It was issued in the UK by Music De Wolfe in 1980 and has the catalogue number DWS/LP 3435. Please see the rear panel image for the track listing and further information.

Vinyl Condition - Very Good+ - The record is bright and clean - no worrying scratches, although the odd light surface mark may be found. I’ve listened to both sides and can confirm that the sound is excellent. I would have graded higher but the final track has a minor jump, just a few seconds in. This appears have been caused by a pressing blemish - a minute dint in the vinyl can be seen with mignification. However, it's not overly detracting and otherwise it's a good, clear, listen throughout. There’s occasional background crackle, mainly during track breaks but barely noticeable. I’ve only given the record a cursory clean, so sound reproduction may be further improved with a little more dedicated attention.
Cover/Sleeve Condition - Very Good+ - Original outer cover which has light signs of wear in the form of corner/edge rubbing, along with a little stress creasing. There is also minor colour darkening but otherwise no damage of note. Plain white, partial die-cut inner is probably as issued and has a couple of small splits.

If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
