Description
Up for auction is a copy of The Replacements album "Tim" originally released on Sire Records (1-25330) in 1985. This is a guaranteed, original first U.S. pressing, not a cheap reissue or import like most for sale on eBay. Has correct Matrix markings: Side One: 1-25330-A, SP 2-1-1 Side Two: 1-25330-B, SP-2-1-1 Both side have the "S" Sire logo with R and C in the curls.
Cover is in very nice condition, with very few signs of previous wear or handling. Front is clean, no ring wear, no rubbing losses, no creases. Corners are sharp, not bumped, though they do have a very tiny amount of mild rubbing--not serious at all. Seams are strong, intact, no splits; bottom seam has a very small bit of rubbing, not serious. Back cover is clean, no rubbing losses. Lower left corner shows a little bit of rubbing, and bottom edge. Spine is clean, titles strong, not faded or chipped. Overall, a very attractive, clean cover, well-preserved. Grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-).
Vinyl disc is also in very nice condition, retaining its original high gloss shine. Very few signs of previous handling. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes, indicating very little previous play. Side One looks really clean, Near Mint. Side Two has a few very faint small hairlines that can't be felt and do not affect quality of the playback. Also some very superficial signs of having been taken in and out of inner sleeve a few times. A very nice looking record. I've owned this copy for over 20 years, and never played it except to test the sound--archived ever since. Grade the vinyl Excellent (EX).
