THIS IS THE ORIGINAL DECCA MONO PRESS OF "OUT OF OUR HEADS" PLEASE SEE PHOTOGRAPHS FOR THE CLOSE UP MATRIX VIEW ETC...BELOW THIS DESCRIPTION.

THE COVER HAS A LITTLE AGE DISCOLOURATION ON SOME PARTS, BUT STILL REMAINS INTACT WITH NO RIPPING OR HANDWRITTEN NAMES ON THE FRONT/INSIDE OR BACK COVER. OVER ALL I GRADE THE ORIGINAL COVER AS A VG+. IT IS AFTER ALL, WELL OVER 40 YEARS OLD - 1965 RELEASE.

THE LABELS ARE FREE FROM ANY HANDRITTEN NAMES OR RIPPING/TEARS. A LOT OF SPINDLE WEAR IS VISABLE ON BOTH SIDES, UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT (DAYLIGHT/WHITE LIGHT) BUT THEY ALSO STILL REMAIN IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. NO WEAR OR FADE IN COLOUR. VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND AN ORIGINAL MONO COPY, AND THE LABELS DESPITE THIS LITTLE FACT, ARE IN GREAT CONDITION FOR THE AGE.

THE RECORD HAS NO CHIPPING OR DENTS, BUMPS OF ANY KIND. NO WARPING OF THE DISC - IT SITS FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE FROM THE TEST PLAY I GAVE. HEAVY DUTY WEIGHTY OLD VINYL. I HAVE NOT WEIGHED THIS RECORD BUT THIS IS ABOUT 180 GRAMS?

QUALITY VINYL WAS USED IN THESE DAYS OF PRESSING, A MUCH MORE APPLICABLE, HEAVY SURFACE FOR THE SOUND TO BE PRESSED ON AND MAKES A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENCE TO THE AUDIO. MONO RECORDINGS OF THIS L.P ARE EXTREMELY RARE.

I HAVE INSPECTED THE VINYL UNDER BRIGHT INTENSE LIGHT, AND UNDER THESE CONDITIONS ONLY, YOU WILL SEE SOME STORAGE HAIRLINES & A LITTLE WEAR. BUT...IN DAYLIGHT YOU WILL SEE VERY LITTLE INDEED. IT LOOKS VERY NICE & IS STILL FREE FROM DUST OR ANY HEAVY SCRATCHED MARKS. NO NEEDLE THRASHING, NO JUMPS OR SKIPS, POPS IN PLAY. SOUNDS PRETTY INCREDIBLE ACTUALLY, I PLAYED VERY LOUD & THE TRACKS ARE ASTONISHING AUDIO FOR THE AGE. I GUESS NEARLY EXCELLENT, BUT FOR MY PERSONAL GRADE I WILL GIVE IT A VG++. I WOULD HAVE PROVIDED A SOUND SAMPLE FOR YOU TO LISTEN TO, BUT THESE PHOTOGRAPHS WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD IDEA/VIEW FOR THE TIME BEING, UNTIL I OBTAIN SOME SOFTWARE FOR A PLAYER.

THE ORIGINAL DUST INNER IS HERE CONTAINED ALSO, AND HAS NO RIPPING OR TEARS, HANDWRITING ETC...A LITTLE DISCOLOURATION FROM AGE THATS ALL. IT HAS SERVED IT'S PUPOSE WELL IN PRESERVING THIS CRACKING FIRST DECCA MONO ORIGINAL, PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A RE-PRESSING ITS AN AUTHENTIC 1965 RED LABEL MONO FULL FREQUENCY RANGE RECORDING, WITH THE FFRR LOGO, TO THE RIGHT OF LABEL & TO THE LEFT 33RPM LONG PLAYING. MADE IN ENGLAND BY "THE DECCA RECORD CO. LTD". MACHINE STAMPERS - ARL 6973-9B/ARL 6974-9A

I WILL SEND THE RECORD PROPERLY AS ITS VERY RARE AND FRAGILE (AS ARE RECORDS IN GENERAL) RECORD WILL BE SENT OUTSIDE THE COVER, BETWEEN 2 CARD STIFFENERS, INSIDE A POLYTHENE PROTECTOR. MAILED IN A HARD CARD MAILER, WHICH WILL ALSO BE SEALED AT THE TOP WITH "FRAGILE" MARKED MASKING TAPE. BUBBLE WRAP UPON REQUEST, IF WANTED?

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
