Overall this is a very decent copy of the London Records USA 1966 MONO version of the Stones first self penned lp Aftermath.This differs from the UK version as was the States London Record execs habit for all the Stones' lps up to Their Satanic Majesties in 1967.This includes the artwork and the fact that it includes the 1966 smash hit Paint It Black..i cant add any more superlatives to this groundbreaking song which illustrates the talent of Brian Jones's sitar work and i must mention Bill Wymans bass work on this track as well.Nearly every copy i've seen of this lp the sleeve is trashed..American sleeves from this period were notorious for their seams splitting and ringwear..this copy is rare for the fact that the artwork is in gorgeous condition compared to almost all others i've seen over the years with very very mild signs of wear for a 52 (!) year old lp.Please see the pictures.The vinyl is in nice condition with lovely fidelity..in my opinion it knocks the UK version out of the park.Only thing of any note playwise is a couple of soft ticks right at the fade of Lady Jane..certainly nothing to spoil the enjoyment of this superb lp.As always i playtest all my lp's.As usual any questions are welcome..thank you so much for dropping by. ?
