THE ROLLING STONES
“BETWEEN THE BUTTONS”
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and hard-to-find original MONO London “ffrr” Records very first press released in Chile in 1967 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., USA, catalog number LLC-38526, with machine etched matrix numbers XARL 7616 2N (“N” inverted) in Side A and XARL 7617 2N (“N” inverted) in Side B, with maroon/silver London “ffrr” Records labels!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! An authentic very first press of “Between The Buttons” released in Chile!!! And what a SUPERB condition of both cover and record!!!
“BETWEEN THE BUTTONS” was originally released in 1967 and late the same year it was released in Chile, but like in most of the cases of that period, we got this album with an UNIQUE COVER!!! The cover is the typical Chilean cover made of 2 single sheets of paper attached (not glued) to a thin cardboard and kept together for an outer plastic bag. Front cover keeps the original artwork, with London Records logo at the bottom left corner and 3 circles at upper right corner with “Between The Buttons” (1st circle), “The Rolling Stones” (2nd circle) and “Including Ruby Tuesday” (3rd circle) written inside. Back cover is different, with title of the album and tracklist written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and timing of each song, with London Records logo at the bottom right corner and below the logo the “SERIE ESTELAR” logo (Stellar Serie) of Odeon Records, but NO Odeon Records logo in cover or labels. In labels both the album title and tracklist are written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and it’s interesting to see that in back cover the sides are identified as “Faz 1” (Side 1) and “Faz 2” (Side 2) but in labels they are only “A” and “B”. In labels the album title and tracklist are in English only too. As this record is licensed from the US issue, we got the US tracklist here in Chile, as you can see in this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Between_the_Buttons. And it’s interesting that song “Who’s Been Sleeping Here?”, correctly written in the back cover, it’s misspelled “WHO’S BEEN SLEEPING HERE” in label, with “?” omitted. So, yes Sirs, this is really one of those finds you don’t see so often, one of the original copies of this famous album released in Chile in 1967, with UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE ERROR. And see the pictures, WHAT A GREAT CONDITION!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in great EX- or EX condition, no writings, no blemishes, minimal wear in the mouth and corners, with some creases and little rips, and faint age browning. Outer plastic bag is in NM or NM+ condition, but I don’t think it’s the original. The record is thick and it’s in superb EX- or EX condition both sides, glossy and clean but with some light hairlines and scuffs and very soft scratches hard to see, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in EX or EX+ condition, absolutely clean and clear, only with some minimal spindle wear. The sound is the best part of this record, it’s in strong and absolute EX+ or NM- condition, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), no crackles, no clicks, only some really light pops in the song “Who’s been sleeping here?”, hard to hear if you are not looking for them and which of course don’t distract from the great sound this album keeps from the beginning to the end, I can say most of the songs play in absolute NM+ condition!!! Overall a record with an incredible nice and clean look and an amazing sound quality after 46 years, with NO SKIPS, NO REPETITIONS, NO DISTORTIONS, a record that won’t disappoint anyone and keep in mind the UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE ERROR!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans and collectors of The Rolling Stones. WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a copy of this RARE record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile.
_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
IMPORTANT TO READ
