EARLY PRESSING CONTAINING ALL THE KNOWN ORIGINAL ERRORS

The Sleeve: Only in Fair Condition. A 1st issue sleeve containing all the errors. As can be seen from the photos, there is lots of crease wear and a chunk missing out of the opening side on the front panel. The large split on the front has been repaired, it is held together securely. The spine is intact but flattened, however it does have clear and legible text with no fraying to the lamination. The fold-overs on the rear panel are in good shape, attached to the card and fairly neat. Contains the incorrect credits for HONEST I DO (Hurran, Calvert), MONA is incorrectly listed on the Side 1, later corrected to I NEED YOU BABY on second print sleeves. 'Dozier' credit misspelt as 'Bozier' on CAN I GET A WITNESS, and the 'IF' is missing from YOU CAN MAKE IT IF YOU TRY.  All hallmark s of the first sleeve. Can't get an earlier.
It is quite a clean sleeve, and holds the LP in well.


Inner Sleeve: This is the correct original DECCA Inner. It is completely intact - the side and bottom edges are all intact at the seams, the opening edge is neat, aswell as the internally poly-lined interior.

The Vinyl: In a Very Good / Minus Condition The vinyl surfaces retains bright black glossy finish and the surfaces still gleam bright black. There are Light stylus marks to the surface here and there on both sides, but only a couple of which  that can be felt; Track 1 Side 1, and Track 3 Side 2. None cause any noise interference, as not deep into the grooves, aside from just a quick jump on Route 66 only. The vast majority of the surfaces are blemish free, and the surfaces overall project a deep shine. The vinyl surfaces are clean and don't look overplayed, but fair commensurate with age on sixties equipment.
  The photographs were taken under direct bright light to show condition.
The record lays completely flat on the turntable. No scuffs or marks, no dulling.
The is a fairly heavy vinyl that weighs 155 grams.


Labels have survived well indeed.  All text clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location point is neat and there is very few and light trace of spindle lines. This record has seen better days, but someone definitely loved it enough to keep it fairly decent.

The labels contain all the similarly known label textual errors. So first variation labels.
The Audio: The audio quality is really quite impressive despite appearances and grades around Very Good Plus despite the one quick jump only.  The LP plays from beginning to end on both sides surprisingly smoothly with no major background noise or detractions such as no skips, sticks, clicks or pops, and no background noise. Light static type ticks usually audible on intro's and fade outs near the start and end of each song on these original LP's can be heard a little, but there is nothing that can be heard over any audio, have to listen carefully to hear any surface noise on the dead-wax run-ins on this LP, but not obtrusive to any of the audio and fairly quiet with no annoying detractions.
These heavy sixties pressings were made robust, and this is still with decent clear audio, and it should its authenticity as an original Stones Debut LP. The vocals are crisp and clear, the Mono channeling is perfect with no feedback or hiss, and the base line is full bodied.  Not one for audiophiles but a decent playable collection filler with all the known 1st issue errors.

This LP will be securely delivered in a professional cardboard LP mailer with cardboard stiffereners.
A plain generic inner sleeve will house the record and the original will be placed separately to prevent tears during delivery.
A protective PVC 180 gsm Gatefold sleeve is included to house the LP as shown.
The LP will be delivered recorded in the U.K.
Overseas postage will be tracked and a tracking number given.
