THE ROLLING STONES LP STICKY FINGERS WITH ZIPPER COVER AND ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE. This album came from an estate sale. I have been researching the hard to find "STICKY FINGERS WITH ZIPPER COVER". I read that the original inner cover has a picture of an adult male in his underwear. This was unacceptable back in the day. So the covers were recalled and the side load was glued shut. The the records were loaded from the top, hiding the photo shoot of the underwear picture. The cover concept /photography by Andy Warhol. His name is printed in the cover above the underwear shot to the left. This record is a side load and if you look from the top of the inner cover to the left you will see the name Andy Warhol and look from the top or bottom you will see an adult male in white underwear. Also the zipper was lowered down by the record company as not to cause any damage to the record or limit damage to records during shipment. I have not found anything to back up these claims about the underwear and the zipper but it makes perfect sense. The sleeve has a tear at the top center about an inch long above the red lips. The lower right sleeve has a crease in the paper. The album, side one looks great. Label looks great. Side two has a couple light buff marks. The label on side two looks great. The zipper did leave an impression in the center of the underwear. It appears that there is pull apart cut out area above the zipper. I can only assume its to unfold the inside cover to make a poster. This cut out has never been opened, or pulled apart. I do not have any method to listen to this album. I am not aware of its true condition. I am not sure if there is a light faint smell that this album was near a smoker. Please look the pictures over carefully. This is a great piece of history. What a find! A great album for any collector!
