Description
The Rolling Stones No. 2 1965 UK LP is a first edition, first pressing vinyl record on the Decca label. This classic rock and blues album features tracks that showcase the band's signature sound, with a speed of 33 RPM and a 12" record size. Housed in a cardboard sleeve, the black vinyl matrix number XARL-6619-2A/XARL-6620-1A, this original UK pressing is a must-have for any collector or fan of 1960s rock music. The album is a timeless piece of music history, capturing the essence of the era's rhythm & blues style.
PLEASE NOTE: This has the original uncensored “Blind Man” text. At the time it caused so much controversy that was mentioned in the UK Parliament. Giving this item some historical significance. Subsequent pressings were censored.
This album has a unique centre labels, making it rarer still.
Album cover colour is faded and discoloured. On the front the laminate has raised and in one area it is creased. On the back a previous owner has wrote their name. Texts can be easily read. There is very little in the way of scuffing around the outer edges and corners, and there are no splits along the edges. The cover is holding together and still fit for purpose. A nice example from 1965.
The vinyl LP does have some scratching and marks. Centre labels do have tape stuck to it. Still it’s clean and text can be easily read. Playback sound deserves an Excellent to Near Mint grade. It sounds great. It doesn’t jump, skip, stick, barely a crackle present, Vocals and music are clean and clear with no background noise to spoil it.
Overall, a great first issue, first press from 1965. Making it 60 YEARS OLD.
