Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my rare Beatles, Beatles Related and Rolling Stones records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st U.K. STEREO EXPORT pressing of The Rolling Stones – Out Of Our Heads on the BLUE UNBOXED & GROOVED Decca label, cat. no. SKL 4725.
The record is in VG+++ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines and a couple superficial non-sounding marks. I have test played this record and it plays great. It is a common fact that these old Decca pressings can take a lot of damage and still play very well. The labels are in VG++ condition, there are only a couple spindle marks and there is some very slight wear along the spindle hole. The matrix endings on this record are 2L / 2L.
This Stereo copy comes with a MONO cover, which is in EX minus condition, there are a couple thumbnail bends on the opening edge on both front and back, there are a couple very small creases along the seams and on the back is a very small stain and a very tiny number written in the upper left hand corner. Besides mentioned small defects, there is no serious damage to this cover; no large writing, no rips or tears or other unwanted damage.
The record comes with an original 1960’s Decca inner sleeve (with HANDLING and PLAYING text), which is in VG+++ condition. There is only some very light age browning and a folded corner.
This is an extremely rare U.K. UNBOXED STEREO EXPORT pressing of the Rolling Stones’ Out Of Our Heads album. Although not mint condition, this copy is still very decent, where most copies went to wild parties and were played to death. Despite it’s mono cover, this STEREO record was only pressed in very tiny amounts, as in 1965, around 90% of all Decca pressings were in common mono (this can explain that why STEREO record has a mono cover, Decca might had not printed stereo covers for this record yet, or they had too many mono covers at that particular time). This is a very rare opportunity to own a very rare Rolling Stones Export only album, a real opportunity for all Rolling Stones fans to complete a life time collection! Happy Bidding!
