Description
Very rare 1965 true first pressing mono ffrr copy of The Rolling Stones' Out of our Heads LP on London LL-3429. The disc was made in England, and pressed at the same plant with the same master and same vinyl as an original UK Decca copy. This is also the super-rare 1A/1A stamper version, indicating the earliest pressing. Most are
2A stampers, and those are usually said to be "first" pressings, which they technically aren't. You nearly never see the 1A copies. Anyhow this disc is in stunningly near mint condition and plays flawlessly and beautifully. Not a single issue. Looks gorgeous and sounds gorgeous. The cover has a bit of light general wear, with faint ringwear, and couple of lightly whitening corners, as well as a very lightly worn bottom edge, but it is remarkably crisp and clean otherwise, with no seam splits, creases, bent or dinged corners, dings or dents, or just about any issue at all. There is a name stamped fairly inconspicuously at the top left on the back, and there is a cutout hole at the lower left just over the word "mono". Some reliable collectors have told me this is an indication of a promo, and that all 1A copies were advance promos. No way to tell for sure but it sounds possible, and could explain their scarcity. Anyhow this is an incredible copy. The original English London plastic-lined fancy inner is included as well (you can tell it is the original because it has the same cutout hole), making this an unbelievable top original copy.
