Description
This is an extremely rare 1965 album by The Rolling Stones which the cover states was made in Southern Rhodesia which is now part of Zimbabwe.
It has the catalogue number LK4661 which was the UK catalogue number for The Rolling Stones No. 2 album, however the track listing on this bears little relation to the Southern Rhodesian album of the same number which are:
Side 1: Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, Down Home Girl, You Can't Catch Me, Time Is On My Side, What A Shame and Little Red Rooster.
Side 2: Down The Road A Piece, Not Fade Away, I Can't Be Satisfied, Pain In My Heart, Off The Hook and I Wanna Be Your Man.
The vinyl has been well played and has numerous faint hairline marks on it. On test playing I would grade Side 1 as very good as it plays without clicks or significant surface noise. Side 2 has a small flaw in the vinyl at the beginning of track 4 which causes the record to stick but otherwise it plays OK and I would grade it as good plus.
The sleeve which has a great picture of The Stones on the front cover has no major damage to it other than a previous owner's name which is written on the rear cover. It does have ring-wear on the flip-back rear sleeve. The spine is not legible and has signs of ageing. I would grade the front cover as very good and the rear as good plus.
Interestingly the Andrew Loog Oldham sleeve notes has "the blind man" sentence without having been censored.
I have graded this album in accordance with the Record Collector grading classification so please note that if you want a copy of this record in better condition than I have described this is not for you. It is more than a shelf filler but it is not in pristine condition
