Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare STEREO White Label EXPORT pressing of the Rolling Stones’ Their Satanic Majesties Request Album, cat. no. Decca TXS 103. This is an export pressing form the early 1970’s, because of the BOXED Decca Label.
The record is in EX minus condition, there are only a couple non-sounding hairlines. The labels are in EX condition, there are a couple spindle marks only. The matrix endings on this record are 6K / 4K.
The cover is in EX minus condition, there is only a little wear on the bottom seam, but further there is no writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
The record comes with an original Decca inner sleeve (one with 4 blue squares on each side) , which is in VG+ condition. Besides a little age browning, some handling wear on the opening edge and a “dog-eared” corner, this inner sleeve looks great. Worth mentioning is the fact that this inner sleeve has the date “7- 72” in the lower left hand corner, indicating that this is the correct inner sleeve for this white labelled export pressing.
This is an extremely rare, if not impossibly rare WHITE LABEL U.K. EXPORT pressing of the Rolling Stones’ Their Satanic Majesties Request album. Just how often do you see a U.K. copy of this album with a white label? This is a real opportunity for all Rolling Stones fans to complete a life time collection! Happy Bidding!
