CELEBRITY FACES INNER SLEEVE

THE STORY OF CELERITIES FACES INCLUDED ON THIS FIRST EVER PRESS

Lucille Ball, Raquel Welch, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (on behalf of her mother Judy Garland) and the estate of Marilyn Monroe all threatened to take legal action over the use of the images printed on the inner sleeve. Several compromises were made including blurring the images but Lucille Ball and Raquel Welch were still not happy and a complete withdrawal of the artwork was the only solution.
But it's not only the artwork which offended; Jesse Jackson called the album "vulgar and obscene" due to its language and 'racial stereotyping' and asked Atlantic boss Ahmet Ertegun to withdraw the record. He responded by reminding Jackson that the Stones has built their career on the propagation of black music.
Jagger had certainly taken the confrontational punk ethic to heart (and was even seen wearing a swastika-Jesus destroy T-shirt - from Malcolm MacLaren's Kings Rd. Seditionaries boutique).
Due to the strong lyrical content no lyric sheet was provided with the record

Die-cut celebrities faces uncensored, full-bright colours, from top to bottom: green, yellow, blue and pink.
Inner with celebrities lips (in red), and bright yellow on some long haired, dress and the little dog, in one side and the other in black and white.

Made in Great Britain on the labels.

RECORD IS EXCELLENT+ LOVELY WITH A DEEP GLOSSY LIKE NEW RAINBOW SHEEN TO THE VINYL SURFACES WHICH ARE CLEAN AND BRIGHT. OBVIOUSLY PLAYED RARELY IN THE LAST 45 YEARS, 

I CAN  SEE A COUPLE OF VERY FEINT HAIRLINES, AND ONE SCUFF MARK ACROSS 3 TRACKS ON SIDE 1, NOT FEELABLE, PURELY COSMETIC (SEE FINAL PICTURE)  AND ONLY WHEN VINYL IS TILTED, UNDER A STRONG LIGHT NO EFFECT AT ALL ON AUDIO PLAYBACK, (SEE PICS)

THE CENTRE LABELS ARE IN SUPERB NEAR MINT CONDITION (SEE PICS) WITH 1-2 SPINDLE LINES EVIDENT ON EACH SIDE, FURTHUR PROOF OF LIMITED PLAYS ONLY SINCE 1978 !!  (SEE PICS)

THE RARE UNCENSORED CARD INNER SLEEVE WITH ALL THE CELEBRITY FACES (Lucille Ball, Raquel Welch, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli ETC ) INCLUDED, IS EXCELLENT OVERALL BUT DOES HAVE A SPLIT ALONG BOTTOM EDGE 

THEREFORE OBVIOUSLY , A GREAT AUDIO EXPERIENCE WHEN PLAYTESTED ON MY REGA TURNTABLE SET UP, A SUPERB LISTEN !!!
