Welcome to my vinyl auctions.
Over the coming months I will be listing a remarkable record collection for auction on ebay. This collection belonged to my friend Brian, one of the most discerning record collectors I have ever known. Brian started buying records in 1966 when he was a teenager. His infatuation for vinyl developed into a career and he eventually ended up working for RCA records and CBS/Sony records as a disc mastering engineer from 1977 to 1989. Brian’s not with us anymore, and I’m making good on my promise to him to sell his records in lovingly-prepared auctions which reflect the love he had for his vast LP collection. The proceeds are going to his family.
Brian’s collection is the kind that rarely comes up for sale. He had great taste in music and collected vinyl seriously for 40 years, taking superb care of his collection. To see all of Brian’s records that I currently have listed, click here.
I grade records conservatively, to ensure your satisfaction as the buyer. All LP’s will be shipped promptly in reinforced record-mailing boxes. Because of the size of this collection, I will be listing these records in sections, so you might want to bookmark my listings page and keep checking back. Not to be confused with the regular "Stripped" double LP I am also selling…this one comes with coloured vinyl. Record one is green and see-through, record two is blue and see-through. Mint and unplayed The inner sleeves are in immaculate shape and show no wear at all.
This is considered one of the better recent period Stones records as it caught the Stones playing in smaller halls and theatres that they hadn’t done for decades and the intimacy between them and audience resulted in a great sounding and played set. If one wants to argue that the Stones had lost their moxy, a quick listen to this set will put them straight. It features their interpretation of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone”.
All records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and are ready to play – records are never playgraded until they are cleaned properly – that way an accurate grading can occur. All records are placed in new Nitty Gritty sleeves and if there is an original sleeve present it is contained in the package for completeness.
