Description
Uber RARE ORIGINAL 1964 South African only press of The Rolling Stones' No. 2 LP, pressed on the red unboxed Decca label (LK.4661) with the UNIQUE picture sleeve. Virtually impossible to find in any condition, and one of the rarest Stones LP in the world! Simply titled 'Rolling Stones', this is one of the first releases of Stones in South Africa in 1964. It is essentially the Stones' second UK LP (No. 2) with three different tracks; 'Little Red Rooster' replaces 'Grown Up Wrong', 'Not Fade Away' instead of 'Under The Boardwalk' plus 'I Wanna Be Your Man' in favour of 'Suzie-Q'. The sleeve has an inscription by Andrew Loog Oldham on the rear of the cover with the rare 'blind man' sleeve notes - the association with the blind led this particular text to be removed on later printings.
The sleeve is between VG to VG+ condition; this is a pretty good sleeve for such a RARE LP that hardly turns up! Two pen names near top left corner of the back, the title and artist name on the spine has some wear, a bit of wear centre part of the seam bottom front right.
The vinyl is strictly in VG condition, but actually still pretty good. Still a very shiny LP but does exhibit some light marks here and there. Playing quality would be rated VG as well. Labels in very good shape.
Overall, a very good copy of this EXTREMELY RARE addition for Stones collectors worldwide!! Get this original while you can. It will not turn up again soon.

All images shown here are of the original item on auction/sale, unless otherwise stated. Descriptions for condition and album information are as brief yet detailed as possible, with additional detail on pictures if need be (for more considerable defects etc). PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Whilst the utmost care is taken in the packaging of vinyl to ensure a safe journey abroad, I cannot be held responsible for any possible damage to any of the contents of the vinyl that may occur after I have posted the parcel should you decide not to insure. ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT: All vinyl gradings are purely based on the visual aspects using standard record collector guide gradings. On occasions for marks that may appear to be a concern on the vinyl, there would be a play-test to discern if the vinyl plays throughout with a brief description of other findings. Please consider that each person has different equipment, system, personal taste etc. which will obviously give widely different sonic experiences and personal opinion. Therefore, I will not be held accountable for refunds (including partial) if your listening experience or opinion of playing the vinyl is not to your full satisfaction.
