Description

I am not a vinyl expert (this was from my late father in laws collection). However, I have done some research through Discogs and believe that this is: www.discogs.com/The-Rolling-Stones-Their-Satanic-Majesties-Request/release/14258557
I checked the elements described and can confirm elements specific to this label variant are present on this version of the album I have:

  • Pressing with lenticular gatefold sleeve, turquoise coloured label, unboxed Decca logo & red / white inner sleeve.
    According to stonesondecca.com this is the first UK mono label variation in a series of 4 labels with all minor differences.
    1.The matrix numbers on the label are marked with 2 little swords.
    2.The publishers info on the left is placed a little above the spine.
    3.The KT tax codes are stamped in the run off grooves, but hardly visible.
    4. Bill Wyman's name is printed in the same fonts as the band's name.

Vinyl has scratches, but I have play tested both sides and there is only one skip during the final track on the B side (this may be fixable?) and the sound quality is still very good. Holographic over in good condition, although the lower right corner has been bent at some point.
I'd love this album to go to a good home where it can be appreciated!
