This is the rare UK 1st press of' 'Through The Past Darkly' by The Rolling Stones. This complete 1st has the earliest matrix, the earliest Mothers and early Stampers, the laminated Garrod & Lofthouse inner flipback octagonal gatefold sleeve and it is complete with the blue Stereo die-cut inner sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl has a stunning high gloss, there is no whitening of the grooves at all. There is one small mark on Side 1 and a few very light marks on both sides. On playing the sound quality is bold, rich and clear. There is some light background noise and the mark makes a few clicks. The blue unboxed Decca label still has its wonderful original deep blue colour and bright silver text. There is just the slightest spindle wear.
The record is complete with its original octagonal blue die-cut Stereo inner sleeve. The edges are firm and there are no tears or scuffs of any kind.
The original laminated inner flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are vivid and the laminate has a bright shine. There is some spine wear and a couple of tiny marks. The edges are still very firm. The inside image is very clean and unworn. The flipbacks are complete and still perfectly sealed. The back cover is superb. The laminate and colours are bright and the Mono/Stereo hole is intact. The whole delicate cover made of lightweight card still feels very solid.
