Description
This is the ORIGINAL (NOT a reissue) 1978 Record (NOT a CD) for THE ROLLING STONES/SOME GIRLS (Banned Cover; COC 39108). Released on Atlantic Records. The album cover is an elaborate die-cut design, with colours varying on different sleeves, it featured The Rolling Stones in garish drag alongside select female celebrities and lingerie ads. The cover immediately ran into trouble when Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (representing her mother Judy Garland), Raquel Welch, and the estate of Marilyn Monroe threatened legal action. The album was quickly re-issued with a revised cover that removed all the celebrities whether they had complained or not, and were replaced with black and punk style garish colours with the phrase Pardon our appearance - cover under re-construction.
Since the Album is still sealed we cannot visually rate the Vinyl, however we assume it is in MINT condition. The Cover is NEAR MINT condition with very light ring wear. (See photos).
Tracks included on this Album are:
Miss You/When The Whip Comes Down/Just My Imagination (Runing Away With Me)/Some Girls/Lies/Far Away Eyes/Respectable/Before They Make Me Run/Beast Of Burden/Shattered.
